Rabbi Avrohom Jacks

Our scholar-in-residence for this year is Rabbi Avrohom Jacks, Rabbi of the Melbourne Synagogue. There are not many speakers who can artfully blend a dynamic, humorous and inspirational style with deep, insightful substance. Rabbi Avrohom Jacks is one of these rare presenters.
Rabbi Jacks easily moves between the two worlds of science and spirituality. He holds a computer degree from McGill University and is also an avid student of the holistic health and wellness fields. He is professionally certified in J.E.T. Kinesiology, and has studied many effective healing tools provided by Traditional Chinese Medicine.
He has lectured about the profound theological questions of our age: Intelligent Design, belief in G‑d, Kabbalah (Jewish Mysticism), and how to control our emotions.
Rabbi Jacks is currently the Rabbi of the Melbourne Hebrew Congregation, which is Australia’s oldest Synagogue. Prior to this position, he was the Rabbi and spiritual leader of Congregation Zichron Kedoshim, a modern Orthodox community in Montreal, Canada, for 12 years.
